Sycamore Gap Tree, Hadrians Wall, Hexham. Northumberland.
What a fantastic day I had last Tuesday. I had trip to Cumbria planed but decided to stay on the motorway and head over to Hexham and look at Hadrian's Wall and check out the infamous Sycamore Gap Tree. It's the 1st time I had visited this location but my friend Les Fitton knew it well.
The weather was very changeable to say the least having moody sky's, sunshine, hailstones and snow all in one day. FANTASTIC!!
This photo was taken at sunset, hoping for some colour in the sky but was soon blighted by heavy cloud cover which then turned to hailstones and then snow.
I don't mind though, I really think this image suits B&W and captures the atmosphere really well.

I hope you like the image. š
