Tuition

Tuition is one of the best investments you can make as a photographer, but it shouldn't cost you an arm and a leg to do so.  There's no point buying the latest up to date equipment if you don't know how to use it.   I can relate to

golf where someone would spend a fortune on the latest clubs and equipment but don't invest in their knowledge.  They look the part until they come to the 1st tee and take a practice swing.  O dear !!!!!!

As a photographer myself, ex single handicap golfer and elite athlete competing at national level for many years,  I believe that money is best spent on knowledge and experience.  This is how we learn and grow as individuals.  I am not alone when I say most experienced photographers will spend time and money on visiting various locations in all conditions learning their craft.

To improve as a photographer we need to understand how to use the camera to obtain the best results.  If we shoot in Auto Mode we learn nothing, only that the camera has decided for us.  This does nothing for our knowledge or our own individual creativity.
