On Tuesday I decided to visit Plover Scar Lighthouse. It's situated at the entrance to the Lune estuary near Cockersands Abbey, Lancashire. The lighthouse was partially rebuilt after a collision by a commercial vessel back in 2016.

It's the 1st time I had visited this location so was keen to explore the area. Arriving at high tide and watching the tide go out I followed taking various photos and hoping for some light to materialise. It took a while but eventually I was rewarded with a little side light as the clouds began to break and thin out but for a short time only. It didn't take long for the rain to make life more difficult. I will definitely be back there at some point hoping to catch a nice sunset. For now this image will do nicely.

Long exposure, using 10 stop Nd Hitech Formatt Filter. F11, ISO 100, 25 sec exposure at 50mm.
